Accuracy

We verify names, dates, addresses and figures against primary sources: the business, the event organizer, public records or on-the-record interviews. When we build on another outlet's reporting, we say so and link to it.

Independence

Our editors decide what we cover. Businesses cannot pay for news coverage. If we ever publish sponsored content, we will label it clearly as sponsored, at the top of the page.

Tools

Our newsroom uses software tools, including AI, to help with research and drafting. An editor reviews every story before it publishes and takes responsibility for it.

Corrections

We fix errors fast and say what we fixed. Spot a mistake? Email hello@thescottsdalepost.com with the story link and the correction. Updated stories show an "Updated" date under the headline.
