Save the Date: Scottsdale's Biggest Events of the 2026-27 Season

Light art on the canal in November, collector cars in January, and a February week when golf and Arabian horses share north Scottsdale.

The heat breaks, the snowbirds land, and Scottsdale’s calendar fills up fast. Four events anchor the season between November and February, and the best seats, suites and hotel rooms go early. Put these dates in your phone now.

Canal Convergence: Nov. 6 to 15, 2026

Scottsdale Arts turns the Scottsdale Waterfront into an outdoor gallery for ten nights each November. Light-based installations line the Arizona Canal between Scottsdale Road and Goldwater Boulevard, and the main hub sits at Solstice Park, 4420 N. Scottsdale Road.

This year’s theme, “Western Nature,” looks at the landscapes and cultures of the American West, the Southwest and Arizona. Around the artworks you will find nightly fire shows, live music and dance, family workshops, food trucks and a beer and wine garden. Admission is free.

Hours change by night:

  • Nov. 6 and 7: 6 to 10 p.m.
  • Nov. 8 to 12: 6 to 9 p.m.
  • Nov. 13 and 14: 6 to 10 p.m.
  • Nov. 15, closing night: 6 to 9 p.m.

Go on a weeknight if you want room to linger at each piece, and go on opening or closing weekend if you want the crowd.

Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale: Jan. 23 to 31, 2027

The collector-car auction grows to nine straight days in 2027, spread across two weekends at WestWorld of Scottsdale. The company expects well over 2,000 vehicles on the block, plus a larger docket of automobilia for the memorabilia crowd.

Two warm-up events come first: the Rock The Block concert on Jan. 21 and the Opening Night Gala on Jan. 22. Families can plan around Coca-Cola Family Day, which adds STEM programming for young car fans. Tickets, bidder registration and consignments run through Barrett-Jackson.com. WM Phoenix Open: Feb. 6 to 14, 2027

The PGA Tour’s loudest week returns to TPC Scottsdale. The party starts on Feb. 6 with the Concert in the Coliseum, featuring Imagine Dragons and Counting Crows. Practice rounds run Feb. 8 and 9, and the Annexus Pro-Am follows on Feb. 10.

Tournament rounds tee off Thursday, Feb. 11, and wrap Sunday, Feb. 14. After the golf, the Coors Light Birds Nest brings nightly headliners. Riley Green plays on Feb. 10, and the week’s lineup also includes Jason Aldean, Snoop Dogg with T-Pain, and John Summit. Saturday, Feb. 13, is the all-day Green Out: wear green, and the tournament ties donations to the turnout for community environmental programs.

Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show: Feb. 11 to 21, 2027

The Arabian horse world has gathered in Scottsdale since 1955. The show started at the Arizona Biltmore, moved to Paradise Park, and now fills WestWorld of Scottsdale at 16601 N. Pima Road. Organizers say it has grown from 50 horses to nearly 2,000, with owners, trainers and breeders flying in from around the world.

You do not need to own a horse to enjoy it. The Shopping Expo runs more than 200 vendor booths, and the program adds seminars and family events. Check the show’s ticketing page for admission details.

Plan around the overlap

Feb. 11 to 14 stacks the Phoenix Open’s tournament rounds on top of the Arabian Horse Show’s opening days, with TPC Scottsdale and WestWorld a few miles apart in north Scottsdale. Book dinner reservations and hotel rooms early, leave extra time on the Loop 101, and consider a rideshare on the busiest days.
